FAQs: Equipment

What is the difference between your products and what I can buy at a local hardware store?
We offer professional chemicals that are stronger and last longer than what you can purchase at your local hardware store. Our products are designed exclusively for the professional pest control industry.

What type of sprayer should I use?
For most situations we suggest a small compression sprayer like the Gilmour 1000P. For covering large areas we offer hose end applicators.

Do you have parts for sprayers?
We carry parts for every sprayer we sell, and can get parts for other sprayers not in our inventory. Please contact us and ask for assistance for you specific sprayer.

How do I keep my sprayer from plugging up?
Always rinse sprayer after each use. Rinse and run clean water through tip. Always store your sprayer in a room where the temperature is less than 100 degrees. If your sprayer has a pressure relief valve, always store with the pressure release valve open. Otherwise, leave lid loose so pressure can escape.

What is causing my sprayer to plug up?
Some products need to be kept agitated so that they don’t settle at the bottom of the sprayer. Make sure debris like label paper or grass does not enter the sprayer when filling. Debris can be sucked up through the tube and plug the trigger or tip. If your sprayer has a discharge filter, remove it or clean it. Otherwise, bring your sprayer by to have one installed.

My sprayer is losing pressure. Why?

Pressure loss is normally attributed to a back check valve which is located at the bottom of the pump cylinder, a bad tank seal which is located under the screwcap or a bad pressure relief valve.
